On our Climate Commitment webinar last week, Senator Reuven Carlyle spoke about “this moment” in our state’s journey to meet our climate change challenge.  A moment when we can achieve an economy-wide transformation with a proven-effective Cap & Invest policy.

Yesterday, Senator Carlyle released the latest version of the plan in Proposed Senate Substitute Bill 5126.

The Environment, Energy & Technology Committee has scheduled a work session for tomorrow (Friday) at 8:00am and you can watch it on TVW.

Over the next couple of weeks, Clean & Prosperous Washington will bring you our analysis of that plan and how it will meet Washington’s carbon reduction targets while catalyzing a stronger, Build Back Better economy.
