Caffeine for cars

May 4, 2022

As more drivers move from burning gas to draining batteries, the availability of EV charging stations presents both challenge and opportunity. Washington’s own Starbucks sees opportunity, announcing a pilot partnership with Volvo, to install EV chargers at Starbucks cafes along a 1,350-mile Seattle-to-Denver route.

bp and Volkswagen see opportunity as well, as they’re partnering to install thousands of charging stations across Europe and the UK. bp also announced that they’re investing over $1 billion in charging infrastructure in the UK. Could bp be eyeing similar expansion in the US?

Keep an eye on this space, as we’ll track progress of EV charging infrastructure in our state as leaders in Olympia, power companies, investors, and businesses work together to electrify our transportation system.
