The higher you climb, the better the view
The higher you climb, the better the view.
Together with you, we scaled great heights this past year, and the views behind and ahead are spectacular.
Looking back, we see Governor Jay Inslee headlining the Clean & Prosperous Institute’s Future of Carbon Policy Forum at the Amazon HQ and Spheres:
We also see the Institute’s interactive Risk of Repeal map and database, which visualized for media, decision-makers, and community leaders the state-spanning Climate Commitment Act investments working to improve life in Washington:
Prominent in our view of 2024 is the Made in Washington Study Mission, with highlights from Spokane, Moses Lake, and the Tri-Cities:
Perhaps no view of the past year is more beautiful than the voters’ validation of Washington state’s Climate Commitment Act. Clean & Prosperous Washington was a prominent voice in various media as Washingtonians considered their decision:
Just behind us we see the Future of Carbon Policy Forum 2025, where participants considered the future of truck electrification, fission and fusion power, and state climate policies:
Turning to check out the view ahead, we can see great things on the horizon: More charging stations installed through the Charging Forward Together program; more electric fleets (school buses, delivery vans, and drayage trucks) converted through the Breaking Barriers Fleet Decarbonization Accelerator; and new incentives from WSDOT for decarbonizing medium- and heavy-duty trucks, thanks to revenues from the Climate Commitment Act.
